Remote Fleet Operations Management
A2Z’s flight operations software supports Longtail deployments across AirDock networks, helping operators manage aircraft, missions, and network activity from a remote operations center.
Our proven Longtail platform is designed specifically for the A2Z AirDock. The Longtail ‘s customizable payload bay enables it to serve multi missions simultaneous from commercial cargo drone to on-demand patrol drone, or can be equipped with your unique payload requirements.
The A2Z Longtail is a purpose-built commercial drone platform engineered for autonomous delivery, patrol, and remote operations at scale. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the A2Z AirDock ecosystem, the Longtail enables automated charging, mission dispatch, and continuous fleet availability without on-site personnel. Available in both single-battery and new dual-battery configurations, the platform can be tailored to different mission requirements. The dual-battery option provides battery redundancy for enhanced operational resilience, while maintaining a slightly reduced payload capacity compared to the single-battery configuration. The Longtail is offered in Cargo (Delivery Drone) and Patrol (Security / Patrol Drone) configurations, delivering up to 21.7 mi (35 km) of range while supporting applications ranging from medical logistics and maritime delivery to infrastructure inspection, public safety, and Drone as First Responder (DFR) operations. Combined with a network of AirDocks, the Longtail creates a scalable drone infrastructure capable of expanding operational coverage far beyond the limits of a single aircraft.
The Longtail features a fully customizable payload bay that can easily adapt to a wide range of cameras, sensors, batteries, and onboard devices, including our patented RDS2 commercial drone winch. Available in both single-battery and dual-battery configurations, operators can optimize the aircraft for maximum payload capacity or select the new dual-battery option for added battery redundancy and increased mission resilience with a slightly reduced payload capability. This flexibility enables the Longtail to support cargo logistics, delivery drone operations, patrol missions, medical delivery drone applications, infrastructure inspection, and many other mission profiles.
Weatherproof design keeps drone operations in business through rain, sleet, and snow.
